About Centennial
Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.

On June 30, 2010, Centennial College took possession of the Scarborough Centre for Alternative Studies building to form the new Progress Campus A-Block. The three-storey building was needed to alleviate the space and scheduling pressures the College experienced due to a significant increase in enrolments.

The A-Block houses classrooms and dedicated labs for almost 1,500 students enrolled in our Information & Communication Engineering Technology (ICET) programs (which moved from our Morningside campus at the start of the 2010-11 semester). The A-Block tenants also include Finance & Corporate Planning, Human Resources and Marketing & Communications.

The cost to purchase and retrofit the building was $25.1 million.
