Aiming for the Top Scholarship Renewal
Important notice

The 2005 – 2006 Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship guidelines introduced the opportunity for Centennial College to inform our scholarship recipients what academic average our recipients are expected to achieve in order to qualify for the renewal of your scholarships.

This change to the scholarship guidelines was reached based on recommendations from the Ontario Ombudsman and consultations over the summer with college and university representatives.

Renewal 3.75 Cumulative Grade Point Average

Prior to 2005-2006, a Centennial College Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top recipient was required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 to recognize outstanding achievement. This did not take into consideration Centennial College ’s method of assigning grade point averages rather than strictly a percentage.

It has therefore been authorized that based on our grade point average system and to consider those students who in the past were deemed ineligible because of the ‘round off’ factor, that any student meeting a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 would be considered eligible for renewal of their Queen Elizabeth II, Aiming for the Top Scholarship.

Good luck!
