About Centennial
Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.
 

Centennial College recognizes the financial challenges faced by many of our students in pursuing their post-secondary education. We have implemented a number of bursaries (non-repayable funding) to support your resources to assist you to meet your financial obligations. Listed below are some of our bursary offerings, the amount available for each bursary and the approximate time frames they are available.

Bursaries are posted on myCentennial on the dates as noted. When a bursary opportunity has been exhausted, the bursary application is removed from myCentennial immediately to avoid student disappointment that the opportunity still exists. These opportunities are limited to the number of bursaries that are indicated below.

Aboriginal Heritage Support Bursaries Bachelor of Science Nursing Tuition Bursary

January - February 2011

- 25 bursaries provided to address the outstanding costs our Aboriginal students face in attempting to be successful in their post-secondary study.

$500 Each

January - June 2010

- 50 bursaries provided to recognize the higher cost of the Bachelor of Science Nursing tuition

$1,500 Each

Centennial Connect Tuition Bursary Centennial General Entrance Bursary

February - June 2010

- 50 bursaries, provided to support tuition costs for students attending our Connect Orientation Session

$500 Each

February - June 2010

- 100 bursaries to support entrance to post-secondary programs

$500 Each

Centre for Creative Communication Equipment and Supplies Bursary Centennial College Access Guarantee Programs and Book Bursary

July - August 2010; January - February 2011

- 40 bursaries provided for the Fall term / 20 supplies for the students enrolled in Communication programs. Available only to CCC campus students.

Child Maintenance Bursary Continuing Education General Bursary and Part-time Day General Bursary

February - March 2011

- 500 bursaries to provide assistance for our students with dependent children.

$500 Each

February - March 2011

- 175 CE and 175 PT Day bursaries to assist with the general cost of part time study

Disability Support Program Francophone Support Bursaries

April - May 2011

- Students have an opportunity to take one or two courses over the summer and receive help with tuition and books only.

HYPE: Community Youth Initiative Entrants Bursary HYPE: Community Youth Initiative Returners Bursary

July - August 2010

- 40 bursaries, provided to encourage first-year students from specific high-risk neighbourhoods to pursue post-secondary education fulltime

$1,000 Each

- 50 bursaries, provided to encourage returning HYPE students to continue their post-secondary study

Ontario First Generation Bursaries Women In Trades Bursary

September - October 2010

- 90 post-secondary students and 5 apprentice returning students whose parents did not participate in post-secondary study

February - March 2011

- 20 bursaries, provided to recognize the costs for females in predominately male fields of study
