Course Description

HTAP-323 - Special Events Practicum
Catering and Special Events Management is a rapidly expanding segment of the Hospitality Industry that brings together many older and more traditional sectors such as catering, equipment rentals and party supply sales in a new field of endeavour. The skills required to execute a successful event would be considered an asset for anyone contemplating a career in Hospitality and Tourism.

This course will allow the student to experience, through lectures, in-class discussions and practical applications, all the steps required to create, organize, execute, and evaluate a successful event for a client. Furthermore the student will learn how to consistently produce a satisfactory return on investment.
It is strongly recommended that any student considering this course have first taken International Cuisine HTAP280.
