Welcome to the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science (SETAS) The School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science (SETAS) offers a range of post-secondary programs that give students the tools to career success. Students can choose to pursue a number of options, including unique degree programs, Ontario College Certificates, Ontario College Graduate Certificates, new apprenticeship programs, and joint degree programs which are offered in three major areas: Applied Biological and Environmental Sciences (ABES), Information and Communication Engineering Technology (ICET), and Advanced Manufacturing and Automation Technology (AMAT). Twenty-one of our programs are nationally accredited by the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists (CCTT) through their Canadian Technology Accreditation Board, and five of our software programs are nationally accredited through the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS). In October, Centennial College and SETAS made history by being the first college in Canada to receive dual accreditation by CIPS and the CCTT. With accreditation students know they are receiving a quality education that is relevant to the needs of their particular industries. Our Centennial Energy Institute has taken up the challenge to illuminate the paths to Ontario’s energy future and provide clarity through our activities in training, research and public information seminars. The combination of nationally accredited programs, applied research opportunities and renewable energy initiatives gives SETAS students the edge when entering the global market place. |
