About Centennial
Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.
 

Our tuition-free Academic Upgrading program offers you the opportunity to get help in reaching your goals. Improve your communications, science, math and computer skills while you prepare to enter college programs or employment. These programs are funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, and the Employment of Ontario.

Applicants are required to write a Math and English placement assessment to help you best achieve your goals.

The Academic Upgrading program offers:

  • Tuition-free academic upgrading
  • Preparation for skills training courses, apprenticeships, post-secondary (college) programs or employment
  • Continuous intake (average program length is 16 weeks)
  • Math, communications, computers courses , biology, chemistry, physics
  • A supportive learning environment
  • Mentors who will work closely with you to help determine appropriate career and post-secondary goals

High School Recovery Program (ACE & Pre-ACE)

This program offers you the opportunity to get Academic and College Entrance (ACE) Certificate which is Grade 12 equivalency.

  • Grade 12 Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math and English credits
  • Improve your communications skills
  • Prepare to enter college programs or employment

Pathways to the Automotive Trades and College

The Pathways to the Automotive Trades and College program offers academic preparation necessary for entry into apprenticeship training, post-secondary education or employment in the automotive sector.

  • High school equivalency
  • Eligibility to enter a pre-apprenticeship program and/or another college program
  • Job training support through Job Connect
  • Fall and winter start dates
  • Focused curriculum with dedicated faculty

Night Academic Upgrading and ACE Credits

Obtain Grade 12 High School Recovery Credits with Night ACE Courses.

(not all courses are offered in a semester)

This program is offered at the Ashtonbee Campus at 75 Ashtonbee Road (one block north of Eglinton Avenue East, west of Warden Avenue).
