Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.

We can provide you with the essential knowledge required to get your company up and running in less than 2 months.

When does the program start?
October 4, 2010

Students will receive eight to ten weeks of full-time practical training in:

  • Creating a Business Plan
  • Financial Management of a Production Company
  • Proposal Writing for Television
  • Pitching Essentials;
    • Understanding an Industry in Flux
    • Funding strategies for the current independent production environment
    • Cross Platform Programming essentials and much more! 
    • Followed by a ten month mentoring period with the Industry Program Advisor.

Registration requirements

  • Have the desire to start your own television company
  • Possess a production background
  • Currently collecting Employment Insurance (EI) or have filed an Employment Insurance claim within the last three years (60 months for those who received maternity/parental leave)
  • Currently not employed full-time

Please note, attendance at one of the info sessions is required to apply. This program can accommodate up to 25 people, register early.

Successful applicants will be eligible for income support of approx. $2000,00 per month for 10 months.
