Centennial College has a long history in Basketball dating back to the very beginning of the formation of the OCAA.  The Men’s Basketball team has won Nationals along with an OCAA Gold medal in 1983-84, Gold in 82-83, Bronze in 80-81, and Silver in 87-88, and 04-05. Most recently Alumnus Michael Brown of Men's Basketball was inducted into the Centennial Colts and the OCAA Hall of fame for his outstanding career as a Centennial Colt Basketball student-athlete with the "Class of 2015". 

The Centennial Colts Men's Basketball team competes in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association's (OCAA) East Region against schools from across Ontario, from the GTA to Ottawa. 
The season runs from early October through to mid-February. 

Academic / Athletic Awards are available through a selection process to those student-athletes that have demonstrated excellence on and off the field of play. Application forms are available in the Athletics and Recreation Office. (Progress Campus - Athletic and Wellness Center Room AWC 104).

New players are always welcome, but to be eligible to compete at the varsity level, players must be full-time Centennial College students and maintain solid academic standing throughout the year.

The team has always shown well in the early stages of the season winning the 2013 Championship of the Annual Durham Tip-Off Tournament and Winning the Consolation in 2014 and the Championship once again in 2015. "

Players that are interested are encouraged to contact the coach for a tryout with the team.
