Cross Country Running

Are you a Runner who is up for a Challenge?

Cross Country running is a Fall varsity sport competing against other Ontario Colleges in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA).  Students on the COLTS Varsity team will compete in 4 to 5 meets between mid-September and early November.  There is one required and one optional practice each week, plus individual training plans provided to each team member.  The team meets are usually held on Saturdays with travel on Friday afternoons to various locations.

Team members enjoy a number of benefits including "team affiliation", customized training, coaching/mentoring, new friendships, academic counseling support, physiotherapy, social activities, team gear, and travel around cities and towns of Southern Ontario.

If you are a runner, have a GPA of 2.5 or better and will be a full-time registered Centennial student (or equivalent) in Fall 2015, then you should consider trying out for the COLTS Cross Country Running Team.

The team may be comprised of up to a maximum of 10 men and 10 women. Students who do not qualify for the varsity team but will return in Fall 2016, may be invited to participate on the 'Development Team'.

Cross Country Running Team tryouts will be held in September when the official fall semester starts after the labour day holiday. See the Schedule page for more details.
