Coach Julian Carr

Julian Carr has been the head coach of the Colts men’s soccer program since 2007. Carr heads up both the indoor and outdoor programs at Centennial College. Julian has been named as the OCAA East Region Coach of the year for the past 3 years. He guided the Colts Men's Indoor Soccer team to a Bronze Medal in 2014 and a Silver Medal in 2015.

Coach Carr has a Level C coaching certification from the US Soccer Federation and also holds an Ontario Provincial B coaching license and a Goalkeeping Certificate from New York State. In addition to these qualifications, Carr brings a wealth of technical training and coaching experience to the Colts. Prior to joining Centennial Julian was part of the coaching staff with the Humber Hawks and the Seneca Sting, With Humber he won 2 silver medals in Men’s soccer,  2007 Indoor and 2006 Outdoor, as well as a Gold Medal for Indoor in 2006. He was part of the Seneca Women’s Program Coaching Staff in 2004-2005.

When not working with the Colts programs, Carr is out avidly coaching in the community. He was previously the Technical Facilitator and District Coach with the Peel Halton Soccer Association (PHSA), a role he has held from 2009 - 2013. Coach Carr was a former U8, U13 and U17 Coach with Bryst International, an OSA Regional Camp Assistant Coach and also a former Learning Facilitator with the Ontario Soccer Association.

Prior to joining the PHSA, Carr was the head coach of Real Toronto Ontario Cup Finalist, Open Men’s in 2008. He also coached with Woodbridge Italia (OSL) and spent some time as an assistant with Vaughn Italia Shooters and London City of the CSL (Canadian Soccer League). Coach Carr brings experience at several levels, as a player and coach. Julian is a graduate of Carleton University’s with a BA in Social Sciences.

Asistant Coach: Winston Richards

Picture of Centennial College COLTS Coach Winston RichardsCoach Winston played soccer in Canada for a short time before he decided to get involved in coaching. He eventually obtained his Ontario Youth Soccer Coaching Certificates, volunteered at Etobicoke Youth Soccer Club before becoming their Head Coach. Winston also volunteered at Downsview Secondary School, winning a championship with the boy’s team and has made it to several semifinals during his time at Downsview. Coach Winston did not only coach youth soccer but coached in the TSSA District Men’s League, winning the league and cup on several occasions. Coach Winston is always trying to develop his coaching knowledge by attending various coaching seminars and courses as time allows him to. He currently holds an Ontario Provincial “B”, USSF National “C” and USSF National “B”.

He is currently the Head Coach of the Kleinberg Nobleton Soccer Club (KNSC) U14 Blue Girls team. This is his second season with Centennials Colts Men’s Soccer Program and he hopes to have a positive impact on the player’s development and the success of the team. Mr. Richards is currently a Medical Technician in the Canadian Arm forces (CAF) and is also pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN). Winston immigrated to Canada over two decades ago from the West Indies where he played Football (Soccer) for the better part of his youth and early adult life. Before moving to Canada he played in Jamaica’s Division One league where he was an avid central midfielder.

Asistant Coach: David Lattavo

He has worked to coach and lead people at competitive, recreational, and professional levels. A recognized though leader with ability to build relationships with all levels, by being versatile and learning from others. David has completed his 309A Electrical Construction and Maintenance License from the Ontario College of Trades/Humber College and also possess a Diploma in Business Administration from Seneca College.
