The Centennial Colts women’s volleyball team rejoins competition this year in 2015 as part of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association’s (OCAA) East Region. Centennial will take up competition against schools from across Ontario, from the GTA to Ottawa. Led by head coach Matthew Cheung, the Colts volleyball team hopes to return to the fold of success.

Centennial College has a long successful history in Volleyball dating back to the 80's when Centennial was a powerhouse in the OCAA. The women's Volleyball team had won either gold or silver back to back for six years straight making it to two national championships.

The women's team won Gold in 1988-1989 and 1986-1987. In 1984-1985, 1985-1986, 1987-1988, they were silver medalists. Centennial is looking to return to their former glory in the near future.

The season runs from early October through until mid-February. Starting new for 2015 the Colts will play a 20 game home and away schedule, which includes 10 home games at the Progress Campus AWC state of the art facility.

Academic / Athletic Awards are available through a selection process to those student athletes that have demonstrated excellence on and off the field of play. Application forms are available in the Athletics and Recreation Office. (Progress Campus – Athletic and Wellness Center Room AWC 104)

New players are always welcome, but to be eligible to compete at the varsity level, players must be full-time Centennial College students and maintain solid academic standing throughout the year.

Players are encouraged to contact the coach if they are interested in trying out for the team.
