Employment Services provides employers with hiring solutions. We help companies fill vacant positions by pre-screening résumés and referring motivated individuals to jobs.

Our services are all free and include the following:

• Recruitment assistance
• Job posting board to post your job vacancies
• Pre-screening to ensure applicants qualify for your postings and are eager and ready to work for your company
• Training plan development
• Wage subsidies may be available to offset training costs that may be incurred
• Cost of tools and/or other items may be reimbursed to better prepare the trainee for the workplace
• Ongoing support to you while trainees are on the job

To qualify you need to:

• Hire a trainee that is registered with the Job Connect program and not a relative
• Hire trainees to fill new positions and not as replacements
• Have a legal permit to operate a business in Canada (revenue number)
• Develop a training plan
• Have WSIB or alternative coverage as well as third-party liability

Your responsibilities are minimal ... and we're here to help:

• Treat the trainee as a regular employee
• Provide the trainee with performance feedback while on the job to maximize his/her skill development
• Maintain and submit attendance records for reimbursement purposes
