Group Counselling Sessions

Students who attend individual counselling on a regular basis may qualify to participate in a group counselling workshop. Students attend the group and in addition continue with regular individual personal counselling sessions.

Goals and Benefits

  • Students attempt to resolve the usual problems of living through interpersonal support and problem solving;
  • Students attempt to develop their problem solving skills to better address future problems;
  • Issues include social, personal, career, educational and developmental matters;
  • The group's purpose is to enhance the process of development begun in the individual work;
  • The group is a supportive community in an environment that is sometimes difficult socially for students new to college life;
  • The group is strictly confidential.
