Note: Presently the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities pays 80% of the tuition for the apprenticeship program.  Courses cost between $50 and $100 depending on the course payable prior to the start of each course.

Before Applying
To be eligible: 
  • An Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent
  • To participate in government funded training you must be legally entitled to work on Canada
  • Must be employed by an organization that works with children youth and families and hires Child and Youth Workers

To determine your eligibility for this program through The Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities please call: 1-800-387-5656. A representative will help you find the nearest government office to help you register and obtain a Training Agreement Number.

Submission Form

Once you have registered as a Child and Youth Worker Apprentice and have received a Training Agreement Number, complete this submission form.

Once we receive this form, we will communicate back to you the information you require to begin your apprenticeship program.
