Centennial College hosts Unique Alumni and Partner Event for Being Elmo
On Saturday, May 7, The Office of Development and Alumni Engagement hosted a special and unique event for grads, partners and new industry stakeholders as part of the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. In honour of our successful Children’s Entertainment Program: Writing, Production and Management and our new kidsmediacentre, an innovative research, training and product development centre, Centennial College hosted a private reception and screening for the award-winning film, Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey about the man behind the muppet, the legendary Kevin Clash. The event attracted many of our industry partners and faculty in addition to Kevin Clash himself, (who recently appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show) along with the film’s director and producer Constance Marks. Kevin Clash is a co-executive producer of Sesame Street and an Emmy-award-winning performer and producer with dozens of TV and film credits to his name, and the voice behind Elmo, one of the most popular characters on the seminal children's television show.
