About Centennial
Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.
 
Diploma Programs
Early Childhood Education (Progress Campus)
Early Childhood Education (Ashtonbee Campus)
Graduates of this program are able to provide an enriched learning environment for infants, toddlers, pre-school and school-age children, and are qualified for employment with nursery schools, child care centres and community services such as drop-in centres, shelters for women and children, and parent resource centres.  The same program is offered at our Progress and Ashtonbee campus locations.
Child and Youth Worker
Graduates of this program enhance the growth and development of children, youth, and their families within a wide range of therapeutic contexts.  They are qualified for employment with agencies serving troubled youth and their families including residential and day treatment programs, hospitals, young offender programs, crisis centers, community-based programs and shelters.
Recreation and Leisure Services
Graduates of this program are focused on improving the quality of life for all by developing healthy communities.  They are front-line practitioners in direct contact with program participants and have many roles including leader, teacher, group facilitator, advocate, referral worker, counsellor, outreach worker or coach.
Cetificate Programs
Early Childhood Assistant
Graduates of this program fulfill a vital role in child care settings by providing caring and skilled support to individual children’s needs. Through their understanding of personal development, social development, health and safety needs combined with practical training, early childhood assistants, are able to effectively support children as they grow through their early years.
Community Services and Child Studies Foundation
This program provides a pathway for pursuing a career in the Community Services and Child Studies areas.  Students have the opportunity to develop academic and professional skills and attitudes and enhance communication competence in all language strands.  Graduates of this program will be invited to join their program of choice.
