About Centennial
Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.
 
Diploma Programs
Community & Justice Services
Graduates of this program have the expert knowledge, skills and training to work with people who are at risk, currently incarcerated, or involved with the criminal justice system and/or rehabilitation programs. They are qualified for careers working with at-risk populations in diverse community and custodial settings including gang involvement, addictions, criminal activity, institutionalization and a lack of community support and services.
Developmental Services Worker
Graduates of this program support individuals who have intellectual disabilities in their homes, and in their work, school and leisure roles in the community. They called upon to help to build natural community supports, networks and valued social roles for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Police Foundations
Graduates of this program are prepared for entry into careers in security and related occupations, and to pursue the additional training specific to careers in the various police and military forces. They have the ability to withstand pressure, communicate effectively, act as problem-solvers and help people in the community. They also have knowledge of current law enforcement methods, conflict resolution techniques, criminal proceedings, community policing principles and the experience necessary to carry out decisions which they can apply in further police training.
Social Service Worker
Graduates of this program are professionals concerned with helping individuals, families, groups and communities to enhance their individual and collective well-being.  They are able to help people to use their own resources and those of the community to resolve problems.  They demonstrate the core values of the profession including a non-judgmental attitude and respect for all peoples regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion and sexual orientation.
Certificate Programs
Community Services and Child Studies Foundations
This program provides a pathway for pursuing a career in the Community Services and Child Studies areas. Students have the opportunity to develop academic and professional skills and attitudes and enhance communication competence in all language strands. Graduates of this program will be invited to join their program of choice.

Pre-Service Firefighter
Students will develop skills in exciting areas such as fire suppression, rescue operations and environmental protection, while utilizing the training facilities at Toronto Fire Services and Centennial’s state-of-the-art patient care lab.
