Apprenticeships

Child and Youth Worker Apprenticeship
Professional child and youth workers work toward enhancing the growth and development of children, adolescents, their families and the community. Their role is to help children, adolescents and their families involved in maladaptive, dysfunctional, self-perpetuating cycles, develop alternative behaviours that re-establish growth

Developmental Service Worker Apprenticeship
Developmental services workers support individuals who have intellectual disabilities in a variety of places - home, work, school, at leisure and in the community. They are called upon to fulfill many roles as they help to build natural community supports, networks and valued social roles for individuals. In addition, they help other members of society change beliefs, fears, stereotypes and attitudes as persons labelled intellectually disabled become a part of their lives and communities.
