Registered Practical Nurse
Operating Room
The RPN perioperative nursing program will prepare a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to function effectively in an entry level scrub nurse role within an operating room. Students will receive classroom theory, hands on practical lab and a clinical placement in either a teaching or community hospital.
RPN Bridging to University Nursing - hybrid delivery
A hybrid delivery format offered at selected Regional Access Centres (RAC’s) in Ontario which allows Registered Practical Nurses to complete the first part of Centennial College’s RPN to BScN Nursing Bridging Program in six continuous semesters.
Health Assessment Skills for RPN
Develop your knowledge and skills for comprehensive physical and health assessment of clients. Topics include history-taking, assessment techniques and systematic physical examination. Examine psychosocial and environmental assessment.
RPN Comprehensive Exam Review
This course is designed to assist students preparing for the comprehensive written examinations (CRNE) required for Registration as a Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario. Must be a Registered Practical Nurse.
IV Therapy Applications
This course is a combination of basic and advanced IV therapy. It is a base and intensive theory course offers RNs, RPN and non-registered nurses an opportunity to build upon and update theoretical knowledge of IV therapy.
Practical Nursing Bridging Program for Internationally Educated Nurses
Centennial College’s Practical Nursing Bridging Program for internationally-educated nurses (IENs) has been specifically developed to meet the needs of internationally-educated nurses with an approved diploma in nursing out-of-country, but who do not have an equivalent baccalaureate nursing degree in Canada.
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation Course: Hybrid delivery
This course will assist the Registered Practical Nurse to acquire knowledge of basic arrhythmia interpretation. Including arrhythmias originating from the sinus node, atria, junction, ventricle and atrioventricular block arrhythmias. It will also discuss specific cardiac disorders including pathophysiology, current treatments and relevant nursing interventions of specific disorders and arrhythmias.
 
Registered Nurse
Perinatal
This graduate certificate program is for RNs currently employed or planning to work in any area of maternal/newborn field within a level 1 or level 2 care centres. It provides you with the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude to work in a Labour, Delivery, Antepartum, Postpartum, or Special Care/Level 2 nursery setting.
Telehealth (Online)
Nursing Telehealth is one of the fastest growing areas in nursing today. It is essential for nurses working in Telehealth to have the knowledge, skills and training in order to provide safe, effective health care.
Critical Care
This graduate certificate program is designed to assist the RN In developing the knowledge and skills necessary to provide specialized care for the critically-ill patient and is offered as a hybrid course: partial in-class and partial online.

IV Therapy Applications
This is an intensive theory course covering a combination of basic and advanced IV therapy.  It is also designed for RNs with a sound background in IV therapy, it will allow the nurse in a specialty area to expand their knowledge and skills in specialty IV therapy.

CTAS (The Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale)
The five-level Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale has emerged as a more effective tool in triaging patients and performing rapid patient assessment. This six-week online course consists of content texts, case studies of patient simulations, and individual and group learning activities.

Post-Anaesthesia Care Nursing
This course addresses post-anaesthesia nursing care from admission to discharge. Various anaesthetic techniques will be discussed, as will post-anaesthesia nursing care for various surgical specialties.
Comprehensive Review Exam

RN Perioperative Nursing
The RN – Perioperative Nursing program is current and innovative, reflecting the trends and changes that are occurring in the perioperative workplace. The program is grounded by and reflects the national competencies as outlined in the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada: Standards, Competencies and Position Statements for Perioperative Registered Nursing Practice.

Oncology
This graduate certificate program is designed for nurses currently working or planning to work with oncology patients and their families in a variety of settings and includes courses in: Introductory and Advanced Oncology Nursing; Counselling Skills and Seminars or current topics in Oncology Nursing.
