Donor Wall

Story Arts Campus

The unique creativity, energy, and talent of the Story Arts Centre were all put on display at the unveiling of Centennial’s second new donor wall. Over 75 guests were welcomed to the October 2014 event, hosted at the home of the School of Communications, Media and Design.

Centennial’s donors were invited to mix  and mingle with members of the Board of Governors, Executive and Leadership Team, faculty and staff – many of whom are also donors to the College. They enjoyed a selection of culinary delights prepared and served by hospitality students while Ben Charlton from Centennial’s new music program added to the elegant ambiance with his piano repertoire.

The design of the latest wall features a mural of art work, generously donated by former scholarship recipients from the Fine Arts program. Sara Shields, Sarah Van Dusen, and Hank Blondeau were all in attendance to see their work at the much anticipated reveal.

After a brief formal presentation, the guests were then invited to walk the red carpet along the west corridor to the location of the new wall. Donors were visibly impressed by the vivacity, creativity and talent all captured in the colourful collage of artwork. Family, friends and colleagues gathered around the panels to view the growing number of plaques displaying the names of donors, or to peruse the interactive screen.

The donor walls have been created to publicly recognize and honour the donors who have supported Centennial College and invested in student success, and will be a feature on each campus by the end of 2017.
