Step One: Get online
Step Two: Register for an epass
MyCIC is your space on the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website. An epass on MyCIC is your online profile with the Government of Canada. You will need an epass to access MyCIC. Visit CIC Secure Online Services to register for an epass. You will need to create a user ID and Password. Remember to store your user ID and Password in a secure place where only you can retrieve it. You will also need your Client Identification Number which can be found on your study permit. |
Step Three: Request for Eligibility Verification Number (EVN)
You will now be able to log into your MyCIC account using your user ID and Password. Once you’ve logged in, you will be able to request for an EVN through the online “Request for Initial Eligibility Verification". |
Step Four: Checking your messages
The International Office at Centennial College will receive a message when you request an EVN. We will then review your eligibility and either approve or reject your request. You will be notified via email once we complete this process, so be sure to check frequently for an email from MyCIC. Log on to your MyCIC account and check your messages. If you are approved, you will see that you now have a message with your EVN!

Step Five: Apply for your Off-Campus Work Permit
Now that you have your EVN, follow the link in your message to proceed with your online Off-Campus Work Permit. The cost of applying for an Off-Campus Work Permit is CAD$150.00. You will notice that you have three payment options. Just a reminder that you will need to upload a scanned copy of your passport.
