On Thursday, May 5 at 9 a.m., Centennial College proudly presents CNN's Lynne Russell, as part of our new student otentation sessions. Lynne Russell, as popular evening anchor of CNN Headline News, was the first woman to become the regular, solo anchor of a daily evening prime time newscast on a television network. During her decade and a half with CNN, she has developed a worldwide audience. For years, people from around the world tuned in daily and admired her authoritative, objective delivery and her non-conformist on-air personality and demeanor. She loves telling them about their world, and it shows. From taking on Bill O'Reilly to Bill Clinton, Russell was a staple in the fabric of global political and social culture for some of the most pivotal moments in U.S. and world history. Lynne Russell's credits include: Prime Time Anchor on CNN Headline News (1983 - 2001), CBC Newsworld, and CFRB Newstalk 1010. Limited seating is available for VIP guests. Location: Main Campus (Progress Ave.) Student Centre. If you would like to attend, and meet Lynne afterwards, please RSVP to Paul Koidis at pkoidis@centennialcollege.ca
