Ashtonbee Campus construction begins!

Centennial's Ashtonbee Campus is set to undergo a major renovation and expansion over the next 18 months to bring new levels of service and enhanced teaching space to our oldest campus. Construction is scheduled to start the week of June 25 as heavy equipment and materials start arriving on site. Ongoing construction will affect how drivers access the campus and its parking lots; please make note of the following changes to driveways and parking areas:

  • The Student Lot parking gates will be removed and the driveway changed to one entry lane and two exit lanes. Drivers are encouraged to enter this driveway by traveling west on Ashtonbee Rd. from Warden Ave., rather than driving east on Ashtonbee Rd. and lining up to make a left turn into the single entry lane.
  • The Student parking lot will be shifted further north to the west side of E Block.
  • The pick-up/drop-off area will be relocated to the visitor parking area; we also encourage people to be dropped off on Ashtonbee Rd. in front of the A-Block entrance to avoid traffic congestion on campus property.
  • Refer to the campus layout for further details.

Centennial is committed to ensuring the safety of the entire college community and the people hired to work on the Ashtonbee Renewal Project. Please remember that heavy construction vehicles will be moving in and out of the Ashtonbee Campus frequently. It is important to obey all instructions given by flagpersons whether you are driving or walking in the vicinity. Pay attention to the signage that has been installed for the benefit of construction drivers and all campus users. Always drive - and walk - with care on campus.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we begin our exciting transformation of Ashtonbee Campus.
