Student Blogger Search

It’s a brand new semester and a brand new year. Whether you are a new or returning student, you certainly have your own ideas about college. From student life, to assignments to jobs on campus, your school experience is an experience worth documenting.

College is a time in your life where you are presented with new challenges and a newfound independence. You may casually forget it, but you are not in this alone. The students in your lectures, the students in the halls, they are all experiencing this with you.

So why not share your stories and let your experiences be heard?

We are currently looking for student bloggers who are willingly to contribute to the college blog, Centennial Community.

The blog provides students with advice and tips that pertain to their studies and future career. It also highlights the college's programs, events, success stories and services available at all four campuses.

The blogger will be contributing solely to our college blog. All stories will be student focused.

Think of college life and what you deal with on a regular basis. That’s what we are talking about.

• Back to School Recap!
• Tips for International Students
• Biggest Misconceptions about College
• How to Stay Motivated in your Last Semester

If this sounds like something you’d like to be involved in, please follow these simple steps:

1. Send one writing sample on “Why I want to become a Centennial Student Blogger?” to the following e-mail address: centennialc@gmail.com. The writing sample must be 150 words in length.
2. Once your sample is received, a member of the blogging community will notify you if you have been invited for an interview.
3. At the interview, please come prepared with ideas on what you’d like to write about. It’s always a good idea to review the blog as well. Further details will be provided at the interview.

Student bloggers will be required to write one post every two weeks. This commitment is on a bi-weekly basis. All stories must be authentic and free of plagiarism.

Bloggers will be provided with a bookstore gift card as a thank you.
