About Centennial
Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.

It's the biggest event on the Centennial College calendar. This year we are celebrating the success of 7,260 Centennial graduates as they receive their certificates, diplomas and degrees and make their way out into the world. Our 44th annual Convocation marks the largest graduation we've ever hosted, spread over four days and encompassing 10 distinct ceremonies.

It's quite a contrast to our very first one in 1967, involving a single class of 14 Secretarial Science students. It was the inaugural graduating class from Ontario's first College of Applied Arts and Technology, one of 19 institutions the provincial government was establishing to provide a new path to post-secondary education. The Ontario Premier of the day, John Robarts, came to our modest Warden Woods Campus to address the "trailblazers," as he called our young women. It was a historic moment for Ontario.

In the spirit of those early days, Centennial College President and CEO Ann Buller addresses each graduating class with poignancy, heartfelt emotion and warm humour. Take a look at our brief video of Ann speaking to the Child and Family Studies graduating class of 2011.

Centennial College never shines brighter than during Convocation Week!
