About Centennial
Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.

In summer 2012, Centennial College began the long awaited Ashtonbee Campus Renewal project to expand and modernize the facilities at Centennial's oldest campus. The project reflects Centennial's continued commitment to providing our students with the facilities they need for academic successful.

The Ashtonbee Renewal Project includes the renovation of about 48,500 sq. ft. of the existing space and construction of approximately 40,000 sq. ft. of space for a new Library, Learning Centre, Student Services area, Student Centre and bookstore. The project also involves adding roughly 5,500 sq. ft. to the existing gym.

When the project is completed, Ashtonbee will have a new look with a spacious, inviting environment designed to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The library will be expanded, a second floor will be added to the gymnasium, a bookstore will be built in the renovated space. The project will also consolidate student services functions and faculty spaces and implement the Learning Zone concept already implemented at our other campuses.

The construction at the Ashtonbee campus will be completed in phases. The gymnasium is scheduled to reopen by the start of the Fall 2013 semester, and the new Library and Student Hub are scheduled to be complete by December 2013. The existing library will then be converted into a new bookstore and student association facility that is expected to open in April 2014. Renovations to the offices and the balance of the existing interiors are expected to be completed by the summer of 2014. The entire project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2014.
