Yaqubi Bros

Congratulations to the Yaqubi Brothers! This four-piece rock band will be opening for The Spoons at the exclusive concert for Centennial College alumni, students and staff on Saturday, October 15 at 6:15 p.m.

Farshad, Sijad, Rashad and Reshad Yaqubi really are brothers! Their band was selected by the judges as the winners of the Liberty Music Trax Talent Search Contest. Both Farshad and Sijad are registered in Centennial’s Recreation and Leisure Program.

Liberty Music Trax, the sponsor of the contest, will present the Yaqubi brothers with $1,000. Liberty Music Trax is a digital music licensing service based in Montreal, Canada. They provide original music by independent artists from Canada and around the world exclusively to creative content producers.

Thanks to our other incredible musicians who entered the contest. The judges had a difficult time selecting a winner!

Yaqubi Brothers will take centre stage in the Athletic and Wellness Centre at 6:15 p.m. this Saturday, October 15. See you there!
