Malvern Bike Safety Day, April 24

Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.
 

This Saturday, April 24, Centennial College is hosting a special bicycle and sports safety training day for boys and girls living in the Malvern community of Scarborough.

Police constables from 33 Division will be on hand to teach kids the importance of wearing a helmet and the use of proper hand signals. Kids aged 8 to 16 will get hands-on instruction on bicycle maintenance from bike experts.

There will also be safety tips and displays by the Toronto Fire Department, Toronto EMS and Toronto Public Health staff.

The New FLOW 93.5 will be on hand, spinning tunes and entertaining the kids.

It's all taking place outdoors at Centennial College's Progress Campus this Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm. The campus is located at 941 Progress Avenue, just east of Markham Rd.

These children and youth are preparing for the Malvern Bicycle Classic Race coming up on Saturday, May 29.
