Habitat for Humanity Toronto: Allen Davidov

Centennial welcomes former student Allen Davidov, Director of Marketing & Communications for Habitat for Humanity Toronto

Allen joined Habitat for Humanity Toronto family in 2007 and since then has helped increase the organization’s recognition within the community to aide its current capacity of building to 86 homes in ‘09, after building 29 in ‘06. Through Allen’s management of the Marketing and Communications department, Habitat for Humanity has also increased its marketing efforts and pushed The Habitat ReStore retail operation to expand to a third store and increase revenues to over $2 million in 2008.

In addition, Allen has presented at conferences to Marketing professionals and corporations on subject matters that include Marketing in the Non-for-profit landscape, Social Media and Online Strategies. Allen is an active volunteer with, the United Jewish Appeal, the Kidney Foundation as well the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.

Before working at Habitat Toronto, he held positions as Business Development Manager at Mitex Apparel Group Inc., and as an Account Planner at Initiative Media. Allen’s client roster has included musical talents such as Blue Rodeo, Great Big Sea, Triumph, the Buddy Holly estate and the Cranberries. As well as Kellogg’s, Subaru, The Home Depot, Burger King, Holt Renfrew, Black’s Photography, and the Toronto Zoo.

Allen holds a degree in Business Management from Ryerson University, a diploma in Creative Advertising from Centennial College, and most recently completed an International Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool.

He will be speaking at the Main Events Hall at the Student Centre on Monday, November 23rd at 10:30am. Allen will providing a brief roadmap of what he did upon graduation, how he has come to be
