Unemployed for the season? Start a Summer Company

Having trouble finding a summer job this year? Do you have an idea for your own business? The Ontario government may reward you with up to $3,000 if you have a successful business idea you can put into practice this summer.

If you are between 15 and 29 years old and planning to return to school this fall - and you're not afraid to work hard - then you could be your own boss with your business this summer and the government will help you get started.

All you need is a good idea for a summer company. Centennial's Centre of Entrepreneurship can help you write a detailed business plan. If your plan and application are approved, you'll receive 12 hours of training and receive up to $3,000 towards your business (half paid at the start of the summer and half paid in September when you return to school).
