Accounting is the language of business.
FREE! Accounting Tutorings for ALL CE Accounting students! Centennial offers you the following options in part-time studies - evenings, weekends and on-line, for the convenience of working learners.
Accounting Fundamentals - (Level 1 - Level 2 - Level 3) Three levels of certificate programs - take one, two or all three! Most courses are eligible for transfer credit towards the Certified General Accountants (CGA) program of professional studies, if you achieve a 70% (B) grade or higher. Certified Bookkeeper These are the same courses as our Bookkeeping certificate; however, to qualify for Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping (CIB) exemption, you need to achieve a minimum of 65% (C+) in the courses. CIB exemptions may be subject to time limits. See our Information Sheet. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Public accountants prepare financial statements and give opinions about their reliability. The work of public accountants is referred to as "adding credibility for the reliance of third parties." Because of the importance of their work in ensuring that Ontario is a secure place to do business, a license is required to practice public accounting in Ontario. Our CPAexcel learning partner equivalent courses will ensure you have the proper foundation to write the qualification exam. Public Accounting - NEW! If you successfully complete all courses in the CPAexcel requirements, you also qualify for a Public Accounting certificate of achievement from Centennial College. Business - Accounting (Diploma) This is identical to the two-year full-time day diploma program offered through Centennial's School of Business. All CE programs should be completed within 5 years. Please note this model route is subject to change. Credit for Prior Learning: If you have successfully taken courses at another postsecondary institution, you may apply for transfer credit. See here for details. If you have achieved the learning outcomes through life or work experience, you may want to write a challenge exam - you will need to pay and apply for PLAR (prior learning assessment & recognition). Contact our Enrolment Services office 416-289-5300 for more details. Our Learning Partners CGA Ontario - Certified General Accountants of Ontario CPAexcel - Certified Public Accountant |
