The Intensive Program of the Addiction Studies Certificate has been described by the students as a phenomenal learning experience that combines addiction counselling theory with personal self development and awareness. A demanding and exciting program that prepares students for issues relevant to counseling addiction clients in society's rapidly changing climate. Learn about theories relevant to the addiction field plus the human dynamics that makes substance abuse a choice. All courses are approved for study credit by the Canadian Addiction Counselors Certification Federation (CACCF).
The accelerated delivery mode of this program is diverse in:
- The Compressed Delivery model so that you can complete an entire program in less time than normal. These accelerated programs are taught full-time (NOT part-time like other CE courses).
- The Modularized format enables you to join a program in progress, at any stage and pick up all of the modules as they repeat over time.
Note: You can take just one module, or all of the modules; however, you cannot take only one course within a module -- you must take the entire module. A flexible timetable is provided to accommodate work schedules.
*** It is advisable that students start with Module 1.
