(Automotive) Motive Power Technician – Administration
The (Automotive) Motive Power Technician – Administration program will benefit you if you have a professional interest in the business component of the automotive industry.
This offering will emphasize motor vehicle technology through theory and practical training. Because there is also a “technical” version of this program, the first semester’s topics will be common to both streams, which will allow you to decide the area for which you are best suited.
In the second semester of this School of Transportation program, the focus will be on administration topics such as accounting, marketing and statistics, as they relate to the automotive industry.
As part of the (Automotive) Motive Power Technician – Administration curriculum, you will be trained on automobile assemblies in fully-equipped automotive shops at Ashtonbee Campus.
Both streams of the offering will cover the same vehicle technology and in-school content as the Automotive Service Technician (AST) apprenticeship qualification.
Upon completion of the program, you will be prepared to enter the industry and to be successful on exemption testing for licensing qualification.
