The intrinsic nature of the Hospitality and Tourism Industry make it imperative for professionals in this field to know and practice effective interpersonal communication skills across a broad spectrum of careers within the industry. Furthermore, professionals will be required to prepare and deliver presentations that range from informal to formal in scope. Sales, staff training, presenting at meetings and guest speaking are 4 examples of types of presentations that a hospitality/tourism professional may be asked to plan, prepare and deliver.
This course will focus on the skills required to communicate effectively with the emphasis on utilizing these interpersonal skills to research, plan and execute professional formal and informal presentations. The learner will have an opportunity to learn and work with a variety of presentation planning aids.
