This course focuses on the fundamental concepts of management and leadership. The four managerial functions are examined and analyzed in the hospitality industry settings. Management ethics, social responsibility and diversity are discussed. Innovation and change is the driving force of any organization, effective leaders must strategically plan and communicate the change. Total quality management, the backbone of successful organizations, will be explored. Different leadership styles, motivation factors & approaches to conflict resolutions are explained. This course offers management and future leaders comprehensive approaches that are important in Operational Management and the development of employees in the hospitality industry.
