Centennial College has a dedicated Second Career team called The Employment Training Centre. The Employment Training Centre team is available to provide program information on admission requirements, credential assessment, academic upgrading and guidance through the Admission process.
Cetnennial College offers more than 85 Second Career-eligible programs to choose from. Approval for these programs is at the discretion of the Ministry and subject to a case-by-case basis. |

Review the Centennial College Second Career program offering for start dates.
If you are at the researching stage and are looking for the Start/Stop dates, estimated costs and have questions that need answered, please e-mail us at employmenttraining@centennialcollege.ca for immediate information. Please indicate the program and program code you are interested in and we will e-mail you the information.
As part of your program research, you will need to provide labour market information and other supporting documentation. Centennial College cannot complete your research package for you. We can, however, provide you with information that you require in order to answer the majority of quesitons.

Print a copy of the required Program Overview from the Centennial College website. Contact 416-289-5300 and book an appointment for the skills assessment (generally English and/or Mathematics, depending on the program). If you are unsure of which skills assessment are required, the call centre representative will guide you once you have indicated your program choice.
IMPORTANT: When booking your assessment date(s), please let the representative know that you are a Second Career candidate.

Gather copies of resumes, any transcripts (grades), diplomas, certificates, including any foreign credentials. Please bring your documentation with you to the English Assessment.

After you have completed your assessment(s), please contact the Employment Training Centre by calling 416-289-5123 or email employmenttraining@centennialcollege.ca. As the processing time for Second Career is time-sensitive, we recommend that you visit the Employment Training Centre as soon as possible. Please bring all documents referenced in Step #4 above and your skills assessment results (which will be provided to you upon completion of your assessment).

During Your Visit to Centennial
During your visit to the Employment Training Centre, we will review your program choice, academic background and skills assessment results. We will ask you to complete the Centennial College Second Career application and answer any remaining questions. Your Offer of Admission normally takes between 5-10 business days to process. Depending on the time of year, processing time will vary. |
After Your Visit to Centennial
After you have received your Offer of Admission from Centennial College, you must accept the offer and pay a $130* non-refundable deposit to hold your seat in the program. You can then visit your Employment Ontario Assessment Centre Counsellor who will work with you to prepare all documentation for the Ministry. Once you receive approval from the Ministry, it is important that you bring your contract to the Employment Training Centre, so that we have a photocopy for our files. * The $130 deposit is refundable only if you are denied funding by the Ministry - proof of denial must be provided in order to process a refund. |
