About Centennial
Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.

Centennial direct-entry students who graduate with a Technology diploma often wish to enhance their solid practical skills by pursuing a B.Sc., with its greater theoretical and scholarly depth.

After completing Centennial's Technology programs, graduates can apply to the Joint Specialist Program in either Environmental Science and Technology or Industrial Microbiology. These programs selectively combine courses that will be taught either at UTSC ( University of Toronto Scarborough Campus) or at the new Centennial HP Science and Technology Centre. The UTSC courses provide theoretical and academic depth in environmental science and microbiology, while Centennial's courses provide invaluable applied and practical experience.

Centennial faculty have impressive expertise in Environmental Protection Technology and Industrial Microbiology and will have access to extensive state-of-the-art laboratory facilities at the HP Science and Technology Centre, which is conveniently located next to UTSC.  The joint programs will make it possible for students to qualify for both an Honours B.Sc. and a Technologist diploma in at least one year less time than it would take if the programs were taken separately.
