Successful Transitions: Advocacy, Resources, and Training (START) is the CSD’s transition program for students with disabilities enrolling at Centennial College.
START Smart 2017
START Smart will take place from Tuesday, August 22 - Thursday, August 24, at Progress Campus. The event is the best way for incoming students with disabilities to begin their Centennial College journey.
The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. each day. The final schedule will be announced once finalized.
Entering its twelvth year, this program includes several components:
- Workshops intended to ease the transition to college and inform students of CSD and Centennial College services.
- Holistic development opportunities - recreation, stress management, and relaxation workshops.
- Team building and leadership development - Meet other incoming Centennial students and students leaders, and learn about the importance of self-advocacy.
- Fun! A trip off-site, games, accessible sports, and more.
Students participating in START Smart are better prepared, more comfortable, more knowledgeable, and more engaged when they begin college...so don't delay, START Smart!
