About Centennial
Established as Toronto's first public college in 1966, Centennial College offers programs in business, communications, community and health studies, science and engineering technology, general arts, hospitality and transportation.

The Centre for Creative Communications, Centennial College, opened in the fall of 1994 as a campus dedicated to digital media is the home of nearly 750 full-time students enrolled in the School of Communications, Media and Design.

Located in mid-town Toronto, just minutes from Pape Subway Station in the heart of Toronto's media cluster, The Centre is a meticulously restored, 104,000 square-foot modernist masterpiece serving as a dramatic backdrop for some 300 multimedia workstations and a full suite of digital imaging and editing facilities. The campus achieved fame as the setting for the CBC series Degrassi High, which was filmed on location between 1989 and 1991. The Dean of the School of Communications, Media and Design welcomes you.

It features:

  • a 16,500 square-foot television studio,
  • broadcast video, audio and post production facilities,
  • digital imaging labs with the latest software,
  • a library and digital resource centre, and
  • on-site catering and administrative support.

Our post-secondary and post-graduate programs reflect the intense and varied need for upgrading of digital media skills of communication arts practitioners. The Centre is an accessible resource for individuals seeking retraining, and for corporations interested in improving their employees’ skills.
