If you have Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent), or if you're 19 years of age or over, you can apply for this program.

1. Apply online at OntarioColleges.ca
Apply to the program online at OntarioColleges.ca (formerly the Ontario Colleges Application Service).  If you are a high school student, we encourage you to work with your guidance office to complete your college application.

The program code is 6402, the College code is CENT, and the campus code is C.

You can also pick up an application form at any Ontario College campus Enrolment Services or Registrar’s office.

2. Receipt of application acknowledgement
When your application is processed by Ontariocolleges.ca, Centennial will mail you an acknowledgement letter, program information and an invitation to book and attend a Program Admission Session on campus. Complete details on how to book your session will be provided in the letter.

3. Academic Requirement – English proficiency
All applicants must demonstrate an acceptable level of English language proficiency for admission to the program. You can do this in one of three ways:

1. Submit Ontario Secondary School transcripts showing compulsory English 12C with a final grade of 80% or higher, or compulsory English 12U with a final grade of 65% or higher.

2. Submit transcripts from a high school outside Ontario or a post secondary institution showing a final grade equivalent to the above.

3. Successfully complete an English Skills Assessment for admission.

4. Program Admission Session
Before receiving an offer to this program, there are additional admission requirements that you will need to complete at a Program Admission Session. You should attend your Program Admission Session as early as possible in the application process.

During your session, you’ll meet with a Journalism faculty member and find out more about the program.  You will also complete a series of timed writing exercises including:

• an editing test. (Please bring a pen.)
• a current affairs questionnaire.
• an essay (on one of three topics provided).

5. Decision letter
Within about two weeks of attending your Program Admission Session, you’ll receive a decision letter from the college. When you are offered a seat in the program, you will be able to confirm your offer on your OntarioColleges.ca account.

Prior to your start date, you’ll receive further correspondence including a fees statement.

Please respond to your offer by the date requested to ensure your successful placement in the program.
