Graphic Design – Media
Dagmar Glisch, Program Coordinator Dagmar Glisch is an artist and designer with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Czech Republic. She has been exhibiting her paintings since 1989. Her work is presented in many corporate and private collections in Canada, the United States, and Europe. Dagmar received the State Art Award in Painting in 1988 and The Elizabeth Greenshield’s Foundation in Drawing in 1990. She has produced several commissions in mosaic murals and ceramics. Since 1996 Dagmar has been collaborating on design projects in 3Dtrix Design with her husband, Miro. Dagmar teaches Visual Design Fundamentals, Digital Arts and Design Studio, and Colour Studio. For more information on the Graphic Design—Media program, contact: | Derek Lea Derek Lea is an award-winning digital illustrator, author, and regular contributor of tutorials and articles on Photoshop and Illustrator techniques to leading digital art and design magazines. He boasts a list of illustration clients that include high profile North American advertising agencies and corporations, as well as an impressive list of magazines worldwide.
| Kendra Gadzala Kendra Gadzala is an artist and designer. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montreal and a Post Graduate Diploma in new media from Humber College in Toronto. Her art has been exhibited internationally, and is in private collections in Europe and North America. Kendra has an extensive background in visual communication, web site design and usability, online marketing, and the non-profit sector. She has been working in the field of new media and web design since the late 1990s. While employed at a Toronto-based new media company, Kendra art directed and designed interactive solutions for clients such as Amnesty International and Greenpeace. Since 2005 she has run her own company offering art direction, design, and consulting services. Kendra is an active member of Toronto's art and design community. She was a founding member of Eastern Front Gallery, an artist's co-operative gallery located on Queen Street East. She is the Chair of the Program Advisory Committee for Centennial College's Graphic Design - Media program, and teaches Integrated Digital Application, Multimedia for Designers, and Advertising at the college. | Janet Rouss Janet Rouss is award-winning art director and designer, who's career has spanned many areas of the communications industry. Her breadth of experience in marketing gives her the unique ability to deliver a strategic and integrated vision. In her roles as Creative Director for brand activation agencies in Toronto, her creative leadership has delivered extraordinary results for several top tier packaged goods clients. She has a passion for creative thinking and making an emotional connection through ideas and insights. During her career, she has launched a lifestyle magazine for Mississauga and has produced brand specific publications for her clients. Janet has received several CAPMA, RSVP and New York festival awards for her work. She is currently a freelance creative consultant working with a variety of agency and direct clients. Janet teaches Editorial Design in the Graphic Design - Media program. |
