Philip Krueger, Program Coordinator

Program Coordinator

Philip brings over a decade of experience in creating assets for the digital media content industry from his Toronto-based studio. Philip is the program coordinator, and currently teaches in both the Digital Animation and Game Design programs at Centennial College's Centre for Creative Communications. His passion for excellence and his professional experience led to teaching a wide variety of subjects at Centennial College, Fanshawe College, York University and IADT. He received his Bachelor of Fine Art (Hon) from NSCAD University and a Master of Design from York University. He is inspired by working in a creative industry that continues to push the boundaries of animation, game, film and electronic media.

Faculty

Brent George

Brent George is a graduate of Centennial College's Digital Animation program and has been a member of the faculty since 2001. Brent has worked as an Animator and Animation Director at Elliott Animation, Toybox, and Technicolor Creative Services. Brent is currently working in the games industry as an Animation Director at Pseudo Interactive. Brent teaches modeling, rigging and animation in the Game Design and Development program.

Dalibor Dejanovic

Dalibor is a Senior Character Animator and Digital Artist at C.O.R.E. Digital, Red Rover, Nelvana and Elliott Animation. At Centennial College he teaches: Intro to Animation, Character Animation, Character Design and Final Project.

Alex Muscat

Alex has been an instructor of Game Design + Development since its conception. After spear-heading his role as the course designer and writer, he continued to teach and assist the college through public related public events. Alex is considered a veteran in the game development industry, and has been professionally credited as developing next generation games consistently since the age of 19. He quickly gained ranks and is currently employed as the Lead Environment Artist at Digital Extremes, a triple A development studio in Canada. On days he's not working like a madman, he can be found in foreign countries abroad or on his motorcycle; or usually a combination of both.

Bohdan Ruzycky

Bohdan Ruzycky is an award winning 3D artist and Graphic Designer teaching character modeling, rigging, animation, and environment design in the Digital Animation and Game Design courses at Centennial College. He graduated from York University/Sheridan College in 2003, with honours in Graphic Design. A graduate certificate from Sheridan College in Computer Animation followed soon after.

The past decade has seen Bohdan work as a freelance graphic designer and 3D artist for various local and international studios and clients. In recent years he has worked as a 3D artist for Toronto based biomedical animation studios DHC Marketing and Invivo Communications. His successes as a 3D artist have brought him multiple awards and the opportunity to travel and meet with clients in Japan as well as live and work in Singapore.

Pum Sarai

Pum Sarai is a CG Artist with over ten years of experience in the game development industry. Having completed a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree at Concordia University (Montreal), he continued his studies at the Icari Center - receiving a post-graduate diploma in 3D Animation for Broadcast. He is currently an Art Lead at Bedlam Games. Prior to this, he has worked for Rockstar Games Toronto, Digital Illusions CE, and Microids Canada - along with freelance contracts at Quickplay Media and Elliott Animation. His list of credits includes: Scratch - The Ultimate DJ (PS3/360/PC), The Warriors (PS2/XBOX), Open Kart Racing (PC) and Monster Racer (PS1).

John Lee

John Lee has been working as a 3d animator and motion graphic designer at TELETOON STUDIO for almost two years, and involved in all aspects of producing the computer generated animations from early concept designs to the final outputs. His experiences ranges from creating medical animations for the patient-educational software to supervising the whole production process for the animation shorts and the visual effects shots for a number of independent short films. He holds BAH at Queen's University and received the Top Honour at International Academy of Design and Technology for 3D Computer Animation and Post Production program.

John loves every aspects of 3D animation and digital painting, making him an avid follower of MAYA and Painter. He can't get enough of this wonderful world of animation.

Helen Thatch

Helen is currently working as a 3D artist at Optix. Previously, Helen spent time in the automotive industry designing prototype truck bodies while studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto. In 2007, Helen returned to school and graduated from the Game Design and Development program at Centennial College. Helen brings both artistic and technical talent as a teaching assistant at Centennial College.

Helen's passions include traveling, photography and food. In 2008, Helen was a member of the production team Creative Meat, which was awarded first place at the summer 2008 Toronto Film Challenge.

Alex Vasolla

Born in Bucharest Romania, Alex Vasolla has been drawing since childhood and painting for over 20 years. He currently works as a concept artist and matte painter in the film/game industries. Inspired by a love of history he originally studied anthropology and archeology in university. This became a great source of information and research for paintings and films. Mr.Vasolla graduated from the classical animation program at Sheridan College, producing the short film ‘Bucephalus".

Mr. Vasolla divides his artistic time between creating concept and matte paintings for animation and film productions, photography, and his own oil and pastel paintings.

Craig Alguire

Craig Alguire is a designer specializing in video games and real-time interactive 3D. He is an Interactive Designer at 3Di Solutions developing new technology for games and real-time 3D interfaces. He is also an avid gamer who brings experience in both game and 3D engine development. With a background in multimedia as well, Craig has been involved in the design industry for over 5 years.

Craig teaches the Unreal Engine in the Game Design and Development program.
