Toronto, April, 2020 - For the fifth consecutive year, The Centre for Creative Communications at Centennial College has partnered with The Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, as its official digital media podcasting partner for the festival's industry series, master classes and seminars.

Broadcasting and Film program students, led by Professor Chris Terry, will produce a number of podcasts documenting the highly regarded Hot Docs Industry Sessions for the documentary filmmakers who will be descending on Toronto from around the world.

Unique Partnership

Chris McDonald, Executive Director, Hot Docs

"Our unique partnership with Centennial has been of great value," says Chris McDonald, Executive Director, Hot Docs. "Centennial College students are professional, well trained and responsive, and their work in facilitating the digital capture and podcasting of our conference sessions has gone on to help thousands of emerging filmmakers around the world."

Hot Docs is North America's largest documentary festival. Each year, the festival presents a selection of more than 100 cutting-edge documentaries from Canada and around the globe. Through its industry programmes, the Festival also provides a full range of professional development, market and networking opportunities for documentary professionals.

The Centre for Creative Communications is one of Canada's best-ranked schools for new and emerging media. It is the first time Hot Docs has selected a school to provide podcasting services to its participants and the general public.
