The Dennis R. Murphy Memorial Scholarship
When Dennis Murphy joined the faculty of the School of Communications, Media and Design at Centennial College in January 2007, he brought with him a lifetime of experiences and achievements in the worlds of music, film and literature. His passion for a well crafted story, whether his own or someone else's, was a common thread throughout his life. In his all-too-brief time as professor in the Broadcasting and Film program, Dennis inspired not only students but colleagues with his creativity, contagious enthusiasm and dedication to his craft. To celebrate those qualities and honour Dennis' memory, a scholarship fund has been established in his name. The Dennis R. Murphy Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student in the final year of the Centennial College Broadcasting and Film Program, who has consistently demonstrated creativity and dedication to the craft of the written word.
