Beyond the Rim
Essential Skills Training and Basketball Fun: For Boys and Girls ages 7 to 13 years old
What is Beyond The Rim?
Beyond the Rim is a community outreach program, created with the MLSE Foundation and supported by Centennial College's Athletics and Recreation department and Enactus Centennial. The program lets young people gain valuable life skills training while they gain dynamic basketball skill development and training. The best part is that it is completely free.
What Life Skills Training will they receive?
- Grades 2-4 – Focus on environmental awareness.
- Grades 5-6 – Focus on building empathy and self-awareness.
- Grades 7-8 – Focus on Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy.
Where is Beyond the Rim?
Beyond the Rim runs at the Athletics and Wellness Centre at Centennial College’s Progress Campus, at 941 Progress Avenue in Scarborough.
When is Beyond the Rim?
Startup date is Saturday, October 14, 2017 and will run until April 28, 2018. The program will break for the holidays and restart in the new year in February 10, 2018."
Who can join the Beyond the Rim Program?
Any child (boy or girl) between the ages of 7 and 13 can sign up!
How do I Register?
Please complete the Beyond the Rim Registration Form.
Please note: Beyond the Rim can only accommodate a limited number of students in each age group. Beyond the Rim participants from last season must register again this season.
