Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR)

Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR)

Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) is a process that gives adult learners the opportunity to gain credit for formal, non-formal, and/or informal learning. Learners follow a process that allows them to identify, describe and demonstrate past learning that was obtained through a collection of study, life and work experiences.

The learner then determines how this prior learning aligns with the learning outcomes and essential employability skills in Centennial College courses.
