Food security is one of the most pressing needs for people at any time, Covid-19 has only added to the stresses that people face. The United Way does an excellent job supporting, assisting, and facilitating solutions to the many incredible organizations whose goals are to help the people of Bruce/Grey. The two counties of Bruce Grey in Southwestern Ontario encompass more than 8000 square kilometers; we have more than 50 organizations dedicated to assisting food insecure and vulnerable people in our communities. Our United Way has taken a leading role in advocating and supporting those in need and we work very closely with the many volunteers throughout the two counties. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we help in any capacity they need from researching purchases to packing food hampers for families in need of assistance. Paul’s background has provided skills ranging from systems and processes to human resources and procurement as well as all aspects of management to sales and marketing.
