Environmental Students Celebrate Canada Water Week
Are you interested in protecting our rivers and drinking water?
Join the Centennial College Environmental Protection Technology programs in celebrating Canada Water Week on March 18 – 24 and World Water Day on March 22 2013!
Students in Centennial College’s Environmental programs learn some of the many skills required to protect Canada ‘s water resources in courses such as Soils and Groundwater (PW 231) Chemistry of Pollutants (VS – 120), Applied Hydrology (AH 360) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS, VS 361) Environmental program grads use training from courses like Water Quality Control (PW 242), Environmental Legislation (VS 242), and Applied Microbiology (Bi 240 and Bi 311) to treat and distribute safe, sustainably managed drinking water – and can even start the provincial certification process required for jobs in the drinking and wastewater industries.
