For current students, refunds for credits on your myCentennial account will be applied against current or future fees. Graduating students with a positive balance will receive a refund through electronic funds transfer (if banking information was provided) or within 6-8 weeks by cheque (to the address on myCentennial). Total cost for students is comprised of two components: tuition and fees (ancillary, lockers, parking, and program/incidental).
Students are investing their money in paying tuition for a quality education. The costs for quality industry experts as instructors and robust success services, and in quality learning environments whether delivered in-person or online, are similar. We will continue to deliver that quality regardless of the mode of delivery.
For the Winter 2020 Term learning at a distance period (March 16 to April 17), students received a pro-rated refund for lockers, parking and relevant ancillary fees. The amounts will vary based on the types of ancillary fees being paid, but generally, full-time students who paid ancillary fees will be refunded approximately $21.50 each.
For current students, refunds were credited to their Centennial account and applied against current or future fees. Graduating students with a positive balance will receive a refund through electronic funds transfer (if banking information was provided) or within 6-8 weeks by cheque (to the address on myCentennial).
For learning at a distance courses taught during Summer 2020 Term, the cost for the semester will be at least $190 less than the in-person offering due to the elimination and/or reduction of the following ancillary fees:
Athletics and recreation (reduced), career week, AWC loan and facilities fee, Student Centre building fund and facilities fee, CCSAI social events, and the myCard fee.
Approximately three to four weeks to process.
On April 9, 2020, the President’s email to all students, provided information on the pro-rated refund to students for some ancillary fees, parking and lockers for the period beginning March 16 (when the College suspended classes) through to the end of the semester on April 17.
