Online learning is studying through courses, experiences, and delivery methods designed specifically to take advantage of the properties of digital technologies and online modalities: live online sessions that all students attend at the same time; learning delivered in a way that gives students the flexibility to access materials and interact at any time; or, a combination of both. With the affordances of diverse types of technology, online learning is robust, immersive, interactive, and engaging education within an environment that accommodates a collaborative learning community.
